This episode culminates our three-parter spanning a 130-mile ride through the El Camino del Diablo’s deep sand, sandy washes, and volcanic rocks. Including a rainstorm on the final day, which showcased the prowess of our KTM 500 EXC-Fs.
The challenging off-road ride pushed me miles out of my comfort zone, overcoming a bike-load of irrational fears, while Jase maneuvered with his usual Dakar-ready expertise. Jolly good for him!
Campervan companions Beth, Ken, and their charming canine, Floki, provided essential reinforcements and comfort. Despite many precarious moments, the experience elevated my technical riding skills, well, maybe a notch! An unforgettable adventure marked by camaraderie, conquered challenges on the Devil Road, and the unwavering support of friends and furry companions.
